Christian Bischof, međunarodno priznati crkveni i koncertni orguljaš, fascinira publiku majstorskom kombinacijom tehničke briljantnosti i nijansirane interpretacije. 

Podrijetlom iz Bamberga, svoje je glazbeno obrazovanje stekao na prestižnoj Glazbenoj gimnaziji „Regensburger Domspatzen“. Od 2013. do 2023. vodio je glazbeni život župe sv. Margarete u Münchenu, a nastavlja djelovati kao glavni orguljaš i umjetnički voditelj koncertnog glazbenog života. Istovremeno, preuzeo je ulogu stručnjaka za orgulje u Nadbiskupiji München i Freising. Bischof se usavršao na područjima crkvene glazbe i koncertnog smjera orgulja u Würzburgu i Švedskoj. 

Njegova karijera obilježena je značajnim glazbenim doprinosima na brojnim projektima, uključujući restauracije orgulja i osnivanje novih koncertnih ciklusa. 

Redovito djeluje kao predavač, voditelj majstorskih tečajeva i član žirija orguljaških natjecanja. Posebnu ljubav njeguje prema najranijoj orguljskoj glazbi, ali i repertoaru njemačkog romantizma.

Prigodno, koncert u Zadru otvorit će veličanstvenim Bachovim djelom „Toccata, adagio i fuga u C-duru“, a na programu će se naći i obrade orkestralnih i klavirskih djela, poput svima poznate Vivaldijeve „Jeseni“ iz „Četiri godišnja doba“, Mendelssohnovog djela „Preludij i fuga u f-molu“ koji spaja baroknu preciznost s romantičarskim izrazom te Chopinov lirski „Nocturno u f-molu“. Program će obogatiti i Kerllov šarmantni i domišljati „Capriccio sopra il Cucu“ inspiriran zovom ptice kukavice, dok će završiti Franckovim „Finalom u B-duru“, jednim od najvažnijih i najimpresivnijih djela orguljaškog repertoara. Ova virtuozna skladba zaokružit će zanimljiv izbor programa i zasigurno prikazati svo bogatstvo boja zadarskih tromanualnih Eisenbarthovih orgulja.

Christian Bischof, an internationally acclaimed church and concert organist, captivates audiences with his masterful combination of technical brilliance and nuanced interpretation. Hailing from Bamberg, he received his musical education at the prestigious Regensburger Domspatzen Music Gymnasium. From 2013 to 2023, he directed the musical life of St. Margaret’s Parish in Munich, and continues to serve as the principal organist and artistic director of the church’s concert life. Simultaneously, he took on the role of organ expert for the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising. Bischof honed his skills in church music and concert organ performance in Würzburg and Sweden. His career is marked by significant musical contributions to various projects, including organ restorations and the establishment of a new concert series. He regularly works as a lecturer, masterclass mentor, and juror for organ competitions. He has a special fondness for early organ music as well as the German Romantic repertoire.

Appropriately, the concert in Zadar will open with Bach’s magnificent "Toccata, Adagio, and Fugue in C Major" and the program will feature arrangements of orchestral and piano works, such as the well-known Vivaldi’s "Autumn" from "The Four Seasons", Mendelssohn’s "Prelude and Fugue in F Minor", which combines Baroque precision with Romantic expression, and Chopin’s lyrical "Nocturne in F Minor". The program will also include Kerll’s charming and inventive "Capriccio sopra il Cucu", inspired by the call of the cuckoo, and will conclude with Franck’s "Final in B-flat Major", one of the most important and impressive works in the organ repertoire. This virtuoso composition will round off an intriguing selection of the program and is sure to showcase the rich colors of Zadar’s three-manual Eisenbarth organ.
