Silvija PLEŠE
Mezzo-soprano

Silvija Pleše is a Croatian opera singer from Zagreb. She completed her master’s degrees at the Music Academy in Zagreb and graduated with honors from the University of Music in Graz. During her studies, she performed on the stage of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, taking on leading roles such as the Fox in the opera The Cunning Little Vixen and Dorabella in Mozart's Così fan tutte. In 2023, she made her debut as Cherubino at the Macedonian Opera and Ballet, and until 2022, she was a member of the opera studio at Graz Opera, where she had the opportunity to record the role of Modista for the CD production of Il cappello di paglia di Firenze by Nino Rota. Additionally, she has performed at festivals and competitions in Switzerland, China, and Germany. She currently works at Kiel Opera and is preparing for the lead role of Dina in the newly composed opera Eine Pariserin in Lübeck.

Throughout her career, she has collaborated with prominent names such as Cheryl Studer, Kurt Rydl, Martina Gojčeta-Silić, Antonius Sol, Dora Ruždjak Podolski, Tomislav Fačini, Jurica Petar Petrač, and Hilary Griffiths.
